Time-Saving Tips for Building Programs in PT Distinction

Use Program Templates from the Library

To quickly build out a full client program:

  1. Go to the Library > Programs
  2. Select a program from your saved templates
  3. Click the three dots next to it and choose Copy to Client or Group
  4. Rename if needed, then click into Edit Program

You’ll now have access to the entire program—every workout pre-loaded and ready to go.

Use the Alternative View in the Workout Builder

Inside the builder, switch to the alternative view for more flexibility and a clearer overview of your program structure.

Add Individual Workouts or Sections from Templates

You don’t have to use full programs—grab just what you need:

To add a workout:

  • Click Add Workout
  • Choose From Templates
  • Select the desired workout and add it

To add a section (e.g. warm-up or cool-down):

  • Click Add Section
  • Use the three dots > From Templates
  • Choose your saved section and add it in

This flexibility allows you to mix and match your best content quickly.

Copy and Paste Workouts and Sections

Inside the builder, you can copy and paste entire workouts or sections:

To copy a workout:

  1. Hover over the workout
  2. Click Copy
  3. Click Add Workout > Paste
  4. Select the copied workout and insert it

To copy a section:

  1. Hover over the section (e.g. cool-down)
  2. Click Copy
  3. Click Add Section > Paste
  4. Choose the section to insert

This is especially useful if you frequently reuse warm-ups, strength blocks, or cool-down routines.

Reorder Workouts, Sections, and Exercises with Drag-and-Drop

Need to adjust the structure?

  • Drag and drop workouts or sections into a new order
  • Rearrange individual exercises just as easily

This makes it simple to tweak the flow of your program without starting over.
